Our Children's Jiu-Jitsu Program
A child's world today consists largely of video games, computer programs, and television it seems physical fitness is slowly being replaced with new reasons to sit still. Health is put on the back burner and obesity is becoming rapid in our society. However, Felipe "Zicro" Neto is dedicated to the overall health of his students. We speak of physical fitness, healthy eating, and goal based structure focusing on creating and maintaining good habits. After time passes and if the student is willing we will then move toward competition training. In competition they will experience success and failure they we deal with each outcome with the support of their coach and teammates. They will learn to crave success. They will understand what it takes to become successful; they will learn it is no accident. They will understand it comes from hard work and they will also understand what hard work is. This will help them in all areas of life.
Children face a different world in schools and social circles than we did growing up, it can be dangerous and sometimes even deadly. It is imperative that children react well under stress. They need to be able to believe in themselves when life commands action. This is an area of specialty within our Jiu-Jitsu organization. We turn seemly hopeless situations into victorious submissions.
It may be an uncomfortable topic but it is also a fact that your child could be one of the problem children in society. You may not even know it yet, but prevention is the best method to wart off future discipline problems. Most discipline problems are caused by lack of confidence in the person creating the problem. They feel they have something to prove, or that they do not fit in. Here they fit in here, we want to welcome them as part of our team, and they will learn the importance of humility, pride, and confidence. Zicro Academy also realizes the importance of positive role models in the lives of children. We promise to use words and phrases like we believe in you, great job, I'm proud of you, take pride in your level of fitness, focus, work hard, etc. Please note we lead by example.
