GMA member Felipe "Zicro" Neto, leader of Alliance Tallahassee will be hosting a great seminar next october 23d. He will be welcoming Alliance leaders and co-founders Fabio Gurgel and Romero "Jacare" Cavalcanti for a very special class.

Five pairs of men, sweaty and exhausted, stood in line for the water cooler at Wednesday night's jiu-jitsu class in a small studio on North Monroe Street.

They'd just finished a seven-minute round of one-on-one sparring in the Brazilian fighting style, all under the watchful eye of instructor Felipe "Zicro" Neto, leader of the Alliance Tallahassee Team and a native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Some laced their fingers behind their heads and stretched, while others walked around to catch their breath before the next round...

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), the martial art made famous by the Ultimate Fighting Championships, is now being offered in a recently opened studio in Tallahassee by a Third Degree Black Belt native Brazilian 19 years of training named Felipe "Zicro" Neto.

Acording to the studios website Neto began competing at the age of 17 and is a two-time Rio de Janerio state champion.

"One thing that makes this grappling art unique is that fighters use leverage, not power to put their oponent in a position where they must submit before their is damage to their limbs or they pass out from a choke hold"...

Well I am a 2 time veteran of the camps in Brazil and thought I`d share with you my experience of my last camp adventure. The camp I chose to go to for two years in a row has been the Alliance BJJ Camp in Buzios, Rio De Janeiro. The camps main director has been world famous jiu-jitsu coach Romero "JACARE" Cacalvanti.
